Several weeks ago we talked about demons, their sometimes subtle and sometimes blatant influence in our world today and how careful we need to be. What about angels? Does God give us the influence of angels to counteract the darkness that demons bring? Can we find our hope and perspective in the presence and guidance of angels? Are angels in our lives as a tangible benefit to our spirituality?

In this past week America has celebrated her birth as a nation and the 230+ years of freedom that followed. How did this American experience get its start? What was on the minds of those singular men and women whose lives were put on the spot, tested and changed so many years ago? What role did faith – Christian faith - play in all of this? We all know what it is like to be wronged, and we all know what it is like to do wrong to someone else. We also have all probably experienced being accused of or assumed to have done wrong when in fact we are entirely innocent - in that circumstance anyway… Is it right or just to ask for forgiveness when we are not in the wrong? What are the guidelines of this whole forgiveness thing anyway?
